Glenwood Sunday Market is the result of the grassroots efforts of Rogers Park community members. Over a two-year planning period, many, many Rogers Park-ers were involved in developing the imagination that has become today’s Glenwood Sunday Market. Key figures in the earliest phase were Rene Camargo and Bob Fields who had the initial inspiration to start a new farmers market in Rogers Park, Barbara Moore who served as the Chair of the Founding Board of Directors and Sheree Moratto who served as the Founding Market Manager.

The Market has a Leadership Council composed of local volunteers who have a long-term commitment to the success and development of the Glenwood Sunday Market. The Council operates with a consensus model and sets the mission, vision, direction, and policies of the Market and is responsible to the Board of Directors of the Rogers Park Business Alliance. Day of market, facilitation of the overall development of the Glenwood Sunday Market is the responsibility of the Market Manager.

There is an application process for all vendors (whether new or returning). Our application is available online by clicking here. A non-refundable $80.00 application is required along with the completed application. If you are accepted, a weekly fee is also required. Please note, the Market's priority is to accept growers and food artisans working within 200 miles of zip code 60626 who are using sustainable and organic growing methods and/or ingredients.

Are pets allowed at Glenwood Sunday Market?

Can I hand out leaflets, postcards, business cards, gather signatures for petitions at the Market?
We do not allow leafleting, campaigning, handing out business cards or postcards, signature gathering and other related activities inside the Market's barricades. Glenwood Sunday Market is a program of Rogers Park Business Alliance (RPBA), a 501(c) (3) tax exempt nonprofit organization. The IRS states that the organization “… cannot participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements) any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office.”
RPBA encourages informed and active participation in civic life, however in keeping with the organization’s non-partisan tax-exempt status under federal law, RPBA requires that its programs, employees and individuals or businesses who participate in RPBA programs refrain from any partisan political activity during program and/or work hours. Further, RPBA’s name, facilities, equipment or resources may not be used for political purposes. Violation of this prohibition could lead the IRS to completely revoke our organization's tax-exempt status or impose excise taxes on our organization.
In practical terms, this means that Glenwood Sunday Market’s Staff, Vendors, Vendor Representatives and Volunteers must refrain from wearing campaign gear, gathering signatures, displaying campaign material and other such activities within the barricades of the market during market hours from load in until load out.
